Comparison

Geodot or a traditional suite: what each one solves

Tier-1 WMS and ERP suites are strong at what they do. This comparison shows where they are stronger, where Geodot solves things differently, and how to tell what fits your operation.

Time to go live

  • Traditional suite, mid-size scope6 to 12 months
  • Geodot: basic routing4 to 6 weeks
  • Geodot: warehouse and routing2 to 3 months
  • Geodot: full platform3 to 4 months

Two ways to run logistics

A traditional suite starts from the ERP or the warehouse and adds modules: transport, routing, load optimization. Each one is strong on its own and gets integrated with the rest in a project usually measured in quarters.

Geodot starts from daily operations: warehouse, transport, routing, palletizing and Control Tower on the same data, connected to the ERP you already have. It complements the ERP in the detail the ERP does not reach.

Criterion by criterion

Ten criteria a buying committee usually weighs. For each one we mark who has the edge, including the ones that aren't ours.

Implementation ranges for traditional suites: public market references reviewed in 2026. Geodot timelines are typical project scopes.

When each option fits

A traditional suite, if

  • You already run your ERP's warehouse and transport modules and have a team dedicated to maintaining them.
  • Your headquarters mandates a global WMS or TMS standard for every subsidiary.
  • Your distribution center is heavily automated and robotic execution is what matters most.

Geodot, if

  • Your trucks leave with free capacity because route and load are decided separately.
  • Warehouse, transport and routing live in tools that don't talk to each other.
  • Your ERP works and you don't want a year-long project to extend it.
  • You need measurable results in months.

Geodot as a logistics layer

Geodot adds a logistics layer on top of your ERP, which stays the system of record. Geodot reaches the detail the ERP does not: the pallet, the lot, the location and the load of every truck.

In the demo we show you, with one day of your operation, what changes with Geodot and what does not need to be touched.
